我的可可之旅始於墨爾本,一個遠離原始熱帶雨林的城市,卻讓我與古老的可可文化產生了連結。
在異地求學的歲月裡,每天一杯熱朱古力,無論是清晨的開始,還是深夜的靜心時刻,總能為我帶來安慰與平靜。它不僅是飲品,更是一種屬於我自己的小儀式。
然而回到香港後,我發現自己找不到能取代的味道。市面上的選擇不是過於甜膩,就是充滿人工香料,或者飲後令腸胃不適。咖啡對我來說太刺激,全脂奶也不適合我的體質。我唯有回歸簡單,用熱水沖泡純可可——無糖、無奶、無多餘。這一杯,成為我在繁忙生活中的片刻寧靜。
那時我開始想,也許不止是我一人需要這份純粹。正如古代文明將可可視為心靈與身體的慰藉,也許現代人也需要一種新的方式,去重拾這種古老又真摯的連結。
因此,我創立了 CUCOOLAND —— 名字源自英文 “Cocoa”,亦向香港人熟悉的本地懷舊叫法「唂咕」致敬。這是我們集體記憶中的一杯朱古力,如今以更純粹、更健康、更貼近現代人生活的方式,重新呈現。
CUCOOLAND 不只是飲品店,更是一個讓人重拾日常節奏、重新感受自我空間的地方。
From Ancient Ritual to Modern Relief — The Founder’s Story
My cocoa journey began in Melbourne — far from the ancient rainforests where cacao was first revered. In those quiet university days, a hot chocolate became more than just a drink. It was comfort. It was clarity. It became my ritual.
When I returned to Hong Kong, I couldn’t find anything that captured that same feeling. Most drinks were overly sweet, artificial, or made me feel physically unwell. Coffee wasn’t an option for me, and I had a sensitivity to full-fat milk. So I turned back to basics: pure cocoa, stirred into hot water — no sugar, no milk, no extras. It became my daily pause, a moment of calm in the chaos.
I started to wonder — perhaps I wasn’t the only one. For centuries, people have turned to cacao not only for its rich taste, but also for focus, healing, and celebration. Maybe what we need today is not something new, but something honest — a way to bring back the soul of cocoa into modern life.
That’s why I created CUCOOLAND — a name inspired by 'cocoa' and the nostalgic local term '唂咕', once used in Hong Kong cafés to describe chocolate drinks. It’s a nod to the past and a step into something new: a space to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a comforting ritual rooted in both tradition and intention.
